A neck lift is a general treatment for a saggy or “wattle” neck. This condition is most often caused by excess fat and/or too much skin under the chin. Age is a common cause of this condition but there are other contributing factors including genetics, weight gain or weight loss.
The correct surgical procedure is often defined by the cause. Correction of the “wattle” neck usually includes liposuction but may also include manipulation of the neck muscles (platysmaplasty), skin excision, partial facelift and/or BOTOX® Cosmetic.
