What to Expect with Abdominoplasty / Tummy Tuck Surgery

For many a loose abdomen is a genetic problem and a source of frustration all their lives. For others, a loose abdominal wall is a result of child bearing, weight gain or simply age. The abdominoplasty or tummy tuck procedure is the surgical option for tightening a loose or sagging abdomen.

During the tummy tuck procedure a horizontal incision is made low on the abdomen. Dr. Newall will make this incision low enough so that any resulting scar could be covered by your underwear or bathing suit. Through this incision Dr. Newall will repair and/or tighten weakened abdominal muscles as well as remove excess fat and skin. The result is a flatter, more toned stomach.

The tummy tuck procedure can yield dramatic results. Dr. Newall is known the world over for using liposuction in combination with a tummy tuck to achieve final results once only thought possible thru the body lift procedure. By avoiding the body lift procedure Dr. Newall saves his patients unnecessary pain and recover time not to mention a lot less scarring.
